Nousbo successfully promoted its flagship product, HI-COTE, during two major events: the Nursery Landscape Expo in Texas and the Farm Progress Show in Iowa.

HI-COTE is a high-performance Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF) that uses Nousbo’s advanced coating technology. It releases nutrients in optimal amounts and timing according to the growth cycle of crops. Given the diverse climates, soils, and crop varieties around the world, customized agricultural inputs are essential for efficient farming. HI-COTE has drawn considerable interest in the US for its ability to address these needs with variable-rate, crop-specific fertilizer solutions.

At the Nursery Landscape Expo, an event showcasing the latest trends and technologies in landscaping, horticulture, and plant cultivation, Nousbo introduced a tailored version of HI-COTE, offering customizable nutrient release periods ranging from 100 to 360 days, depending on the tree or shrub. Nousbo also presented HI-SPEED, a product designed to support horticultural crop growth with stage-specific nutrient formulations.

Nousbo focused its marketing efforts at the Farm Progress Show (FPS), held from August 27 to 29. FPS is the largest outdoor agricultural expo in the US and has been a cornerstone of American agriculture for over 70 years, attracting around 600 agricultural machinery and agribusiness companies from around the world annually.

At this year’s FPS, Nousbo presented its corn-specific Controlled Release Fertilizer, HI-COTE UREA-CORN, aimed at the Corn Belt region. The product was promoted under the slogan "Smart Fall Application," which received significant local interest. In the Corn Belt, Corn and fertilizer are typically planted together in mid-April to early May. However, Nousbo introduced a new method of applying HI-COTE UREA-CORN at harvest time in October and November, allowing for seed planting the following spring.

This approach offers substantial benefits for large-scale farming in the Corn Belt. By applying HI-COTE UREA-CORN at harvest, farmers can reduce the need for additional equipment rental and labor during the next planting season, cutting both costs and time. HI-COTE UREA-CORN is designed to remain in the soil throughout winter without nutrient leaching and releases its nutrients precisely at the seed germination stage, showcasing Nousbo's core coating technology.
